Santosh, 35, lives with his wife and two sons in the outskirts of Bangolore. He made his way up from being a street ragpicker and now he is a driver for WWT and collect and segregate garbage in Bangalore. See photos of newspaper for other details. Every day hundreds of millions of people in India wake up at dawn and work hard until sunset to find their way out of poverty. Many of these people cannot access clean water and electricity, nor pay school fees for their children or see a doctor when they are sick. Their basic needs have been largely unmet, neither by public services nor by the market that doesn't consider them as potential customers. Access to health care services in India by low-income people is limited due to the poor supply from the public service, especially in remote areas such as slums.
